Kombucha babies!

My kombucha babies have grown and are ready to spread their scoby-wings! Would any (local) happy biome followers like a microbiome-lovin scoby to make their own kombucha? Kombucha is teeming with a colony of good bacteria, and is great for gut health. Not only is it a great probiotic functional food, but it also contains b-vitamins, enzymes and acetic, gluconic and lactic acid. These compounds help to assist with weight loss, increased energy, cleansing and detoxification, immune support, reduced joint pain and cancer prevention. Kombucha is made with sugar and tea. I like to use an unrefined sugar, such as rapadura, and I’ve also successfully been fermenting with rooibos, a caffeine-free tea.
