Putting together herbal tea and affirmation packs for a Women’s Conference, ‘Bloom Where You Stand’, that I’m presenting at tomorrow. Don’t judge my 20 year old thermals and 15 year old uggies that I’m snuggled up in…both still going strong, haha! My family always tease me how I wear things until their thin and growing holes!

This quote is pretty cool – “Your Body is a Temple, Not a Battleground.” We are so blessed to have a most amazing and intelligent body to live in. The potential for what our bodies can do is truly mind-blowing. But I think as women, especially, we sometimes (a lot of the time!), treat our body as a battleground. We think we’re too fat, too flabby, too wrinkly, too weak, too tired, too sore, too ugly; we might slog our bodies with exercise – or not exercise at all. We might push our bodies to extreme stress by being so flippin’ busy all the time. Or we might yo-yo diet, or binge eat, or emotional eat, and then feel so guilty for what we just ate, even though it felt so good at the time because you needed something sweet and yummy to fill ‘something’(?) inside of you.

Tomorrow at the conference, I’m going to discuss healthy and absolutely fulfilling ways you can care for and treat your body, so that you can live up to its truest and fullest potential! There will be other presenters there too, sharing thoughts and activities on mindfulness, yoga, mental health, and getting your home and life in order. The conference is from 10:30am – 2pm at the Deloraine LDS Chapel on 153 Emu Bay Road, Deloraine, if you’d like to come! This is a FREE event, including a delicious lunch (for free!).
